New York, NY – New York eyewear designer Robert Marc’s extraordinary contributions to the accessories industry were recognized when he was presented with the Visionary Award at the 2011 Accessories Council Excellence (ACE) Awards Gala, which took place at Cipriani 42nd Street on November 7, 2011. Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the ACE Awards honor individuals and companies that have made a significant impact in the world of accessories. Winners were nominated and voted upon by their peers in the accessory industry, retailers, and the Accessories Council Board of Directors.
Robert Marc’s award was presented by Robert’s friend and client, Stephanie March (“Law & Order: SVU”). In her introduction, she thanked Robert for breaking social boundaries by creating glasses that make pretty girls look smart and smart girls look pretty. She added that her husband, Chef Bobby Flay, couldn’t bear the thought of her getting Lasik surgery because of how much he liked her in her “sexy glasses”.
